Discriminating Disciplines

As a result of the educational reform the University will receive funding in accordance with how many credits students produce. Not all credits are equal, however. As of the autumn term of 2003 all disciplines will be divided into categories labelled A to F. Subjects in the A-band such as medicine and dentistry will receive 96,000 kroner per 20 student credits, while F-subjects such as undergraduate courses at the Faculty of History and Philosophy and the Faculty of Social sciences will receive 24,000 kroner for the same number of credits.
