Are you passionate about writing, investigating, exposing truths, and sharing other people’s stories? Are creativity, perseverance, and attention to detail your biggest strengths? Have always dreamed about being a journalist or a writer? Here is your chance!

Join Universitas, the largest student newspaper in Norway based at the University of Oslo. We have been there for 75 years, outlining every aspect of the lives of students, highlighting the problems and challenges they face, and helping universities change for the better. This platform has jump-started many careers in journalism, from photographers and designers to writers and investigative journalists — and now you can become one of them, too!

As a journalist for our English section, you will be writing for all the international students in Norway. Peculiarities of studying in Norway, useful tips for the newly arrived exchange students, bureaucratic, psychological, economic, political, or cultural issues foreigners have to deal with — there is no limit to what you can explore. Let your inspiration roam free!

What do we offer:

  • unique experience in journalism and writing
  • every chance to express yourself in a meaningful way
  • an opportunity to grow professionally in a Norwegian environment
  • a small compensation for every published article

We encourage international students with diverse backgrounds to join our team. Having experience in journalism, as well as examples of previous writing, is certainly a plus but not a strict necessity. Desire to change the world through words is more than enough!
