Travel Grant

Students who live at large distances from their university can heave a sigh of relief; their state travel grant has survived budget negotiations between the government and FrP. Ursula Evje (FrP) argues that the travel grant is important in order to ensure that student can study in the part of the country of their choice. Master students have reason to be less content; whereas postgraduate students who completed their studies within the stipulated time limit have previously had part of their student loan written off, this bonus is likely to disappear. Students who begin their master\'s degree before 1 August 2003 will continue to be entitled to having 47,905 kroner written off their loan upon completion of their degree.
