Doubling of Complaints

According to a preliminary evaluation of the introduction of the new, letter-based grade scale at the Faculty of Law, the number of complaints regarding examination grades has nearly doubled since the new grading system was introduced in 1999. Students point out that the differences between A, B and C are much more dramatic than the finer gradations in the former, decimal system, and that this may explain why students file more complaints.
