«Jesus is alive, in Bergen»

Or so says Studvest, the Student Newspaper at the University of Bergen. The sensational headline is due to the rising member numbers in the Christian Student Unions in Bergen. Magnus Hatløy, President of KRIK, a Christian youth sports organisation, informs that the student organisation now counts 249 members – which is more than one hundred new members compared to this time last year.

But it’s not all joy and happiness. Kjetil Nes, President of the Catholic Student Organisation in Bergen, admits that they would like to reach out to more Catholic students. Hence, they are arranging Thursday Services with their own Student Priest, Dom Lukas Stefan Lorf-Wellesen. They are also trying to arrange a guest lecturer every other week, and sometimes they go bowling.
