Quality Reform

At the very moment at which the long-awaited quality reform for higher education is about to be implemented, developments in the EU are threatening aspects of the planned reforms. Students taking the new masters\' degree will have to write a thesis equivalent to 30 student credits (equaling half a year\'s study). However, it is likely that negotiations in connection with the Bologna process will conclude that the Norwegian master\'s thesis lacks the required depth. Rolf Reikvam of SV is critical: – Changing our reform in response to decisions reached in the Bologna process is unfortunate, he says. -But Norway usually lets the EU take the lead, so I am afraid that is exactly what will happen, he adds.
