Time to go from pub, to pub, to pub, to pub, to pub...
Did you know that almost every faculty has a pub located somewhere in their building (usually in the depths of the basement)? Today, Friday, brings us the one day each semester when the pubs open their doors free of a cover charge to any students curious about what goes on in there. With 11 pubs participating, you probably won’t make it to all of them – but you can try!
Saturday should really start off with coffee and a donut from Talor&Jørgen. (Ok, every day should start like that, but our wallets and waistlines wouldn’t stand for it.) Just off of Youngstorget you can find their divine treats.
Into the evening there are scores of places to go. If you want a great after party with none of the regular party nonsense, try the Natt&Dag Pils & Plater (beer and records) party at Sentrum Scene. If you skip their yearly prize ceremony beforehand, the cover charge is just 150 NOK.
Or instead you could hit up Blå for Club Juicy, an R&B night that spans the years – everything from Lauryn Hill to SZA to Janet Jackson.
Sundays are for being lazy, and I stand by that. But Sundays are also for pretending you’re super cultured and cool (and then maybe someday realizing you really do know a lot about art). At Galleri Haaken, you can see Aurora Passero’s exhibition «Crystal Set,» consisting of work done with fabric and textiles. And a bonus, it’s free.
